Now getting funded through RocketHub! http://www.rockethub.com/projects/1871-wp7-nes-emulator

Here is the nearly completed NES emulator for WP7. I haven't tested a whole bunch of games, but SMB3 runs at full speed and with full controls.

Visit http://nesemu7.codeplex.com/ to download the source code and try it yourself!

  • good day bro, is psx emulator possible for current wp7 phones? If ms someday allow you to establish your emulators on marketplace would you make one?

  • @nokiafanbernie18 sorry, currently not possible without native access to the CPU.

  • i saw the app in my market and wux wondering if thats the true app because it costs 19.99

  • @KLimatiKLeagcy sorry not my app! Who would buy a $20 NES emulator anyway? That's crazy! Mine was initially $5, but I would probably release a $1 and ad supported free version if I could.

  • Very good job :)

I doubt you'll be able to get this on the Marketplace just because it does kind of encourage piracy - if they allow this through then Microsoft could end up being the sued party.

However, this will definitely be fun to play with on codeplex.

    Good job!

  • Microsoft should know that the UI of a cellphone is not everything, not even the OS to.

Ive seen videos people running WP7 Metro UI on Androids and iOS.

They need to accept this stuff to make the phone more desirable, or the developers for applications are not gonna waste any time. Come on Microsoft!
