About schmidt, The departed and Chinatown should make up the top 5 along with One Flew and As good as it gets. Batman and The Shining are utter shite but Nicholson steals the sho in both of them as he always does in anything he's in.

Carnal Knowledge? The Postman Always Rings Twice? The Missouri Breaks? The Pledge? The Crossing Guard? I think these trump some of the others that made this list. I agree with #1 though. God, what a powerful movie. Kinda disagree having movies here where he only played a supporting role, however brilliant he may have been in them.
