This particular group of birds, goatsuckers, of which the Frogmouth is a member were considered evil spirts by some of the ancients and primitive peoples.

Nice movie.
I do wonder if you realise that owls can see infra red, so for this own it appeared like you were putting a bright light in his face. Thats why he looked away from the camera and after a final peak flew away.
