Elina Garanca, the Latvian mezzo-soprano, sings Sesto's remorseful aria from Mozart's "La Clemenza di Tito". Dunno, maybe I should make a contest already...
This piece is the part of Ms Garanca's 'Arie Favorite' CD.

Moi aussi j'aime beaucoup cette merveilleuse artiste, elle est lumineuse et ses interprétations sont d'une pureté exceptionnelles, de ce point de vue elle se rapproche de la grande Lisa Della Casa. Bravo pour votre français. :-)

Ha! This is indeed the most tear-jerking aria in the whole opera. If I were Tito, I'd forgive Sesto after the first verse already. :)

It is the best performance of this wonderful aria which I have heard! I am very glad, that even now there are such singers and I wish much success to Elina in her career.

She has a great voice and technique but this is the most tragic aria in the whole opera! And she sounds almost optimistic in her ornamentations.
