This baby was sitting mid restoration for 8 years... she had a few things to say when we let her hit the pavement. 351C 4V double pumper, custom hydraulic bump-stick, roller rockers and, um, bored out just a little. Running through a C-6 to high stocker gears. No brakes involved in this peg-legger.

Engine options in 72 for the Gran torino were the 250 I6 (L code), 302 2v (F code), 351C 2v (H code), 351W 2v (also H code), 351C 4v (Q code), 400 (S code), and 429 4v (N code). Tranny options were FMX 3 speed auto, C4 3 speed auto, C6 3 speed auto (and nearly unkillable), 3 speed top loader (only found with the 250 and 302 motors), and 4 speed top loader. There were also loads of rear end choices available too.

@HackoDis Torinos in '72 had a plethora of engines to choose from and that is the way it should be, Unlike these assembly line cars the greedy car companies force on the masses!

damn, wait 351c is the stock motor for these car? my guess was the 351w :D
