Developing first step acceleration out of the blocks with resisted sprint training. We also use weighted sleds sprints + Prowler pushes. Resisted sprint training in addition to developing maximal strength via squats, deadlifts, plyometrics and olympic lifts has been shown to improve all phases of speed from the acceleration phase to top end speed.
