Excellent! I think this one one of the first Steely Dan tribute albums, or at least the first jazz tribute. A lot of these guys in this band actually played at one time or another on the Dan's albums. Michael Lang (piano) really shines on this track.

@ncmtman why don't you change the title?

Sorry folks, Dick LaPalm says, "this is NOT the Hoops McCann Band." If you don't know who he is look him up... NOT saying it's not good, but it is NOT Hoops!

Nice cover... clever arrangement featuring the piano. Can you upload any more from this album?

well.... I just found this link and it brought back so many special memories. One of them was working with Dick LaPalm on this, so I hope that clarifies that part of it. This trio arrangement, by the way, is by Victor Feldman, who was originally asked to play on this album.
It was my honor to play this beautiful arrangement.

@michaelalang .... Well, Michael Lang, I am honored that you took the time to comment on this wonderful arrangement that you were privileged to play on. Thanks for the correction on who the arranger was. The album notes are apparently incorrect, stating that Joe Roccisano wrote the charts. Great job on this performance. I'm glad others are getting the opportunity to hear it.
