Carmen 3D was previsualized exclusively in FrameForge Previz Studio 3, both in order to convince the Royal Opera House of the feasibility of the stereo 3D project and to aid the director, Julian Napier, in creating the best live-event 3D experience of its kind.
Julian was so thrilled with his experience using FrameForge on Carmen, that he is now using it for the next Royal Opera House S3D production. He says FrameForge Previz Studio is "worth its weight in gold in informing you where to put your cameras, how the shot's going to look, previewing the stereo and also in addition to that it's got a whole library of objects and characters and props so that you can build your scene as well very easily."
excellent piece. Incredible. There is a match cut at 1.48 which is pure genius. I saw the cinema premiere of Carmen 3D on Valentine's Day this year and it's the best 3D opera yet, no doubt. Camera positions are perfect, edit, etc, etc.
