@Camaromandave98 depends on what the 383 has, if its just stock heads and a small cam I'd still put money on the LS1 vette. A modded one is a diff story, my brothers 383 lt1 has a custom grind cam and stock ported/CNC heads and makes 440 at the wheels.

@95z28onjuice that was an LS1 in the vette not an LT1. LS1s have aluminum blocks
-
not too bad considering what the LT1 was up against
-
looked liked the c5 took a jump on the start.. reached the straight first and got on it while the camaro was goin a lil slower and reached it later then the c5. good race but they shoulda tried to even it up before going
-
@gixxerfanatic I'm doubting that the Vette was stock. If it was, then even a poorly built 383 should have beaten it. But those C5's with bolt-ons are pretty lethal.

This makes me sad. If you're gonna build a 383 you need to do it RIGHT. That Camaro should have dusted the vette... :(
-
hey if you think about it, the camaro had a longer distance than the vette since they started on a turn. Unless they compensated for that somehow
-
@richie19r 100lbs = 1/10 a second. that matters in racing
-
vettes are heaver than you might think, and im sure it have a iron block as well since they dont make aluminum lt1 blocks
-
100lbs is a lot dummy!!
the vette
