Scheduled to release in AMC theaters in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Seattle and Spokane on October 21, 2011, we are working hand in hand with the cast and other partners such as To Write Love On Her Arms to use the film as a tool to amplify the conversation about teen depression and suicide, the 3rd leading cause of death for Americans 18-24 years old!

The film stars Dan Byrd ("Cougar Town," Easy A"), Emily VanCamp ("Revenge", "Brothers and Sisters), Academy Award®-nominee Richard Jenkins (The Visitor, Six Feet Under, Eat Pray Love) and Adam Goldberg (Dazed and Confused, Saving Private Ryan) and has received numerous awards on the festival circuit including the Silver Hugo New Directors Competition at the Chicago International Film Festival.

Norman tells the story of Norman Long (Byrd), a self-aware and darkly funny teen who is trying to handle his daily high school existence. An unexpected set of life-changing circumstances turns his world upside down and then ultimately right side up as he meets the magnetic Emily (VanCamp). With love, humility and a heavy dose of truth, he emerges to face challenges not meant for a boy his age.

Norman's soundtrack features Andrew Bird's first-ever original instrumental film score. It also includes new and previously released songs by Bird along with Wolf Parade, Chad VanGaalen and The Blow with Richard Swift.
