Transition Networks Releases - Industrial Mini Converter

Art Felgate demonstrates Transition's new "mini" Industrial Media Converter. Answering the need for media converters that fit into compact environments, the addition of the Industrial Mini to Transition Networks' already vast industrial portfolio enables customers to extend 10/100 Ethernet networks to devices in remote, space-constrained environments without the need for environmental controls. This allows organizations to experience the benefits of Ethernet while saving money and time on infrastructure and environment redesign.

The Industrial Mini will operate over a very wide temperature range of -40°C to +75°C. The unit's terminal block accepts a wide12 - 48VDC power input with reverse polarity power input protection and overload current protection. The small power consumption of just 2.5W further lowers system cost by minimizing heat generation within small enclosures. To further ease installers' jobs the Industrial Mini comes with an installation kit consisting of a DIN-rail bracket, Velcro strips and a DC power barrel connector. A wall-mount bracket and AC-to-DC power supply are offered as optional, labor-saving accessories.
