Hey Guys! In this particular lesson i talk all about tone. In it i also share how to strengthen it as well. I give some diefferent tones and answer another question for the week. Plus i thank "you". Check it out to find more. Enjoy! :)

How to Strengthen Your Tone

1.Find the Tone you'd like to Strengthen(Singing Tips 12 for Reference on tones)
2. Breathe from the Diaphragm even if it seems like the style doesn't fit
3. Practice using that tone everywhere and anywhere you sing
4. Be safe when you practice singing
5. Find music that fits your range
6. Continue to expand your range
7. Continue with steps 2 through 6 above or start fresh from step 1 with a different tone. (think: wash, rinse, repeat. :))

Shout out!

  • @JayRulenBaby Ill be talking more about that when i put a lesson how to take care of the vocal chords. It will be soon though.(several weeks @ the most) Also when ive been the studio sometimes i dry up or go low too. You gotta remember aaaall the sensitive equipment they have in there so its usually cooler and dryer. Its pretty hard to maintain good equipment(recording) in hot, muggy rooms. Think about it ;) Great Q! :D

  • Different tips for R&B/Pop singing please :). Also, do you by chance know how to put the same emphasis on every note you sing. I struggle with this. I tend to lose tone on the more common words like... lets say Im singing "And you know I LOVE YOU" the "and you" would be like softer with not much tone and the rest of the words would be good... I hope you understand what im asking.

  • Thanks for your lessons Dave :)

    I got a Question?

So I heard some japanese genres in rock, Its called Visual Kei.

Any clues on how to get the voice/Tone/style like that? Im pretty much a starter and need to be oriented in the right road.

    Thanks,

    -Alex

my bro works at a pizzaria and there's likee .. no singing?:D

    - great video (:

  • Hi, I know that this question i'm about to ask doesn't exactly relate to what you're talking about in this video but,

What kind of exercises can I do as a beginner singer? I sort of have a singing voice but it is not strong at all and it is not very controlled; I seem to sing a bit better when I sing in higher notes but when I sing with a tone that's like my actual voice, it tends to break and I loose my breath a bit quicker than normal. I feel like I may be straining my cords

    Can you help me?

  • Hi Dave,I like your video bud,and know your so very write, thanks for sharing this video, with us)))))))

  • I like how you get red singing different types of tones :p
