But the thing is that each side of the wall was seen as it's own country ever since the treaty of versailles. Dividing them along the borders physically is just as extreme as what some Amercians propose by having a concrete wall to keep out People from Mexico.

There is one small suvenire shop near the Wall on the East Side galery.The owner stamps the passports with DDR stamp for ONE Eur and he allways says:Now you are free to pass!I showed him my Serbian pass. with 4 days visa,issued from German embassy in Belgrade.He did not want to take the ONE eur!So,there is many walls now in the Europe,in the world.Berlin is wonderfull and Berliners must live free but many nations are jeopardized each time when Germany is strong!Peace!Berlin uber alles!
