Really really good band.. saw them at the star and garter a couple of years ago! The guy who states this is emo has no bloody clue what emo is. This is hardcore doom metal with a load of post rock through in there as well. What an atmosphere they created in Manchester :D

amen ra is one of the best existing band
of that genre, altoug it is the only one i know
thei are pretty great in there work,
te music realy inspires me, and yes, the begin of this song is almost the same the repait, dont judge a group on one video!
btw, the atmosphere is amazing as you can see here

they may not be that creative in their songs, but I've never seen a band create such an emotional atmosphere on stage, so much energy, and that my friend, is the purpose of music.

i never said that amen ra are a ripoff, i only said that they are much worse than all the bands you named... its just the problem that such a band like amen ra i have seen and heared a hundred times. there s nothing new and nothing fresh. pathetic head moshing ist not enough to create an amazing band. the names can change, i think we have enough bands who are not able to be creative...

and isis, pelican, neurosis are quite diffrerent from them really, they're INFLUENCED by them but they're definatly NOT the same...
