Some of my favorite Laurel and Hardy clips set to 1812 Overture. I used clips from the following shorts and films:
Perfect Day (1929)
Night Owls (1930)
Our Wife (1931)
Sons of the Desert (1933)
Busy Bodies (1933)
The Midnight Patrol (1933)
Them That Hills (1934)
Tit for Tat (1935)
Way Out West (1937)

  • Splendid compilation, really funny. My 7 and 9 year old were in stitches ... 80 years on that's not bad going, is it?

  • @vernonpage Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the kind words! And yes it is, not bad at all!

  • whats the clip 0.47 from?

  • @vrikey There is a gumball sequel sequence in Two Tars though, it occurs before the boys hit the road. Search YouTube for a video titled "Two Tars (1° parte) - Stanlio&Ollio". The scene I'm referring to takes place at around the 5 min mark.

  • @joeramoni Thank you for the reply - okay, I watched Two Tars, but the whole film seems to be in that open country road setting, with the boys pestering everyone in the backed-up line of traffic - I'm sure the gumball scene was in one of their silents, I'll keep searching around : )

  • @vrikey That's from Two Tars

  • There's one scene I'm trying to locate from a L&H silent short. The boys are on the street, then they spy a pretty lady who's having trouble with a gumball machine, her coin gets jammed in the slot or something; Ollie naturally steps forward as the officious gent, to assist the charming lady retrieve her penny and get her gumball - and of course things get pretty fouled up!

Do you know which L&H film this scene is from?

  • @nutsaboutclara Thanks very much!!
