AMAZING background music. Paul Rauch really knew how to produce. This show was utterly addictive.

I agree that soaps were so much better bach then. Remember when each show had their own identity? For example:
All My Children: relied heavily on satire and campiness while focusing mainly on social issues
General Hospital: known for high-octane characters intertwined with action-adventure storylines
Young and the Restless: lush production values set against slow-paced character driven drama
One Life to Live: large sets, additive storylines and known for its stark realism

@soulmziklova I think greed has perverted not only hollywood but soaps as well! In the 80's their was alot of emphasis on character development and amazing storylines that connect. This actually sparked my interest in acting,writing, and directing. I can only speak for OLTL,GH,and AMC from 1985-1993 lol I really hope abc will wake up and convert these classic soap yrs to dvd it doesn't take a genius to figure out the overwhelming profit.

I loved one life to live in those days. That was the best soap of that time and that hour would go by so fast, it seemed like half an hour. And Mitch was a terror in his time. Very deadly. He was able to deceive and manipulate lots of people very easily. He was almost like the a charles manson of lanview.
