But, anyway does the soap have to be skin colored for the brows?

no, not at all. soap goes on clear, mostly. unless it's like a really white soap. but even that should melt down enough while you're applying it to be clear. and yeah, it basically just smashes down your eyebrow hairs. hope that helps!
