It was a brilliant comedy moment but I was shocked to recently read that even the heaviest male domesticated turkey can fly for up to 100 yards to nest in small trees so even if they were dropped from 2000 feet some of them might have been able to glide to a safe landing. Or maybe not.

Yeah, the longer video with Les Nessmans commentary is the best. God the humanity!

I allways like this show from the start. Some of the funniest people and best lines on the BOOB-TUBE at the time. Who could complain about the women?? Bailey was the hottest ! ! ! Fever was cool man.

One of the genius things about this show - and this episode in particular - is that so much of the subtext and back story was never seen or heard, yet it was there in our mind's eye, primed and ready when the punchlines were delivered.

Case in point, there was not a single turkey in "Turkeys Away!" and I don't think there was even the sound of gobbling as Les was making his live report.

Brilliant!
