When or how many terrorist have come via Mexico is completeky unknown to the average citizen. Try telling the cop when he stops you late at night when you're in a neighborhood that arouses his suspicions that you don't have to show ID. Better yet refuse to show your drivers license on 4th amendment grounds the next time you are stopped for speeding. Thanks for your interest.

@plane15man The Mexicans are not the only illegals entering the country. Many of the "immigrants" coming illegally are from central American. Some are of middle eastern (can you say terrorist) extraction. We don't really want the police stopping people without a reason but when they do have cause to stop someone they should be able to do a thorough identity check and act on it. @loverlei79 They only detain people who are arrested for OTHER crimes, THEN check if they're supposed to be here in the first place. Indeed, the reason most illegals GET caught at all, is that they forget they're on the side of the border that has laws, and cops who, if susceptible to bribery, at least demand a MUCH higher price than those thugs can offer!
