Newspapers are dead. They have to go internet. They can still make money. Only ones that will fail are the ones no one cared about in the first place. No bailout.

yah sure then they will have a monopoly on most of the info we recieve reg how our government and the reast of the world is functioning.
the fed never should have bailed out the care co's nor wall street or aig for that matter .......... they should leave the media to fend for itself.
if you run your co. on a poor buisness model and fail to evolve you get what you deserve.

After working for a newspaper for over 5 years, I would say no. Newspapers are doing poorly, because in my opinion, most of them refused to evolve when the internet started taking off. Their resolve to hang on to idea of the past without embracing the future is their own doing.
