This is the AS model.

The first shot can be a double action if it is decocked, then subsequent shots are single action, but with a unique trigger pull....

I got a .40 QA model. I don't have a clue as to why so many Walther aficionados hate it so badly. Trigger pull is a little hard, but it's very short. I don't even notice the hard trigger pull while I'm at the range. I absolutely love it.  AS, QA, or DAO, the P99 is an all-around great gun.

Seriously? Beretta 9000S, PX4 Storm, 92FS, 92A1, 96G Centurion, and 96D all come in .40 S&W. You are a dolt.
