Namkha Dorje Rinpoche: The spiritual heir of the late Kyabje Hungtram Rinpoche Yeshe Ghangshar Rangdol Rinpoche, the regent of Hungtram Labrang Monastery was born in Dholpo in 1981. Many great yogis such as Khedrub Palden Dorje Tulku Nyida Dorje, emanation of Nubchen Sangye Yeshe (one of the 25 disciples of Guru Rinpoche, Dholpo Gakar Rinpoche and many others have appeared in the generations of Hungtram Labrang family lineage. The family lineage has been great benefits to all the people of Dholpo regions and to the teachings of Lord Buddha.
He was schooled in various monastic institutions such as Nyingma College in Sikkim, Dzongsar Institue and Ngagyur Nyingma monastic University in South India for higher Buddhist studies. He received numerous empowerments, teachings, and transmissions from many greatest contemporary masters from all major teachings and practice lineages.
Sey Namkha Dorje entered into solitary meditation retreat in west Sikkim under the guidance of highly accomplished meditation master H.E. Chimey Rinpoche. He received vast and profound instructions on the preliminary practice and pith meditation instructions based on Mahamudra and Dzogchen teachings. His meditation master Siddha Chimey Rinpoche, about five days before his death, made extensive Tsok(feast) offerings and said "I have been waiting for you to entrust these teachings to preserve. It is now your responsibilities to serve the teachings of Lord Buddha remain long for the benefit of others".
One of his greatest passions is to bring the Buddhas teachings and the practice of meditation to people from all walks of life. He started teaching for the first time at the age of sixteen.
As an honorable spiritual representative of Nepal Himalayan region as well as senior members of Human Right Organization of Nepal,he has been active in order to preserve and deepen the understanding and awareness of Buddhist teachings and various humanitarian activities across different indigenous communities.
