On July 11th, 2009 I hiked up to Boardman Pass near Fairfield Idaho. The hike was rather strenuous as the elevation gain is rather abrupt (read steep). I found out that "Sheep Trail" is one continuous trail from the parking spot at the bottom straight to the top. No maps show this trail but it is used regularly by hunters and motorcycles. The hike starts at about 6,200 feet with Boardman Pass sitting at over 8,400 feet.
