I found this during the halftime of the 1980 Metro Championship game between Florida St and Louisville. Its a cool piece done by Dave Conrad about Darrell Griffith, w/ highlights, interviews and even shows his press conference where he committed to Louisville. Good stuff!

  • Speaking of retarded apes.. ^ ^ ^ Anyone who watched college basketball back in those days knows what a beast Griff was. His jumpshot was just as impressive as his dunking. He said he didn't care about being the all-time leading scorer at the 'Ville - he just wanted the Cardinals to win the national title. Griff delivered! Doctor Dunkenstein is a legend.. Go Cards!

  • My parents were almost going to name me after him! My middle name might have been Griffith. He is my hero.

  • Hey everyone

    stop fighting. gr

  • he s one of my hero.. and i thought he invented the 360 degree dunk when i was little... he will be a legend in my heart

  • Love Darell Griffith!!! I've been trying to

see him on here forever. Great video

  • I was in Louisville 3 months ago and happened to be in a sports bar when Griffith came in, during a U of L basketball game. He is a class act all the way. He was a friendly person, he signed autographs, posed for pictures, talked to everyone. Nice guy, hell of a ball player.

  • My favorite player ever. His high arching jump shot was a thing of beauty when it went in. As far as his defense goes, well... he played the passing lanes more than the man. He did come up with a fair amount of steals, though.

  • You've got to love the cheesy music at the end. He was a good player for the Utah Jazz his whole career in the NBA. Not much of a defender at that level though.
