Kurdistan republic Jan 22 1946
The Kurdistan republic more known as the Mahabad republic extended over 30% av the kurdish parts in Iran. It's capital was Mahbad but cities like Bokan, Piranshar, Sardasht, Naqada and Ushnaviya were also included in the republic.
In many ways the republic was before it's time (ME standards) with laws declaring equal rights for women and free and obligatory schooling. The republic enjoyed support from the other 3 parts of Kurdistan, leaders from all other parts came to the declaration of independence day.
