Fab 32 is Intel's latest environmentally-friendly factory that will manufacture tens of millions of the most energy-efficient processors the company has ever made. These processors are based on Intel's groundbreaking transistors with Hafnium-based high-k metal gate silicon technology, the biggest change to how transistors are made in 40 years. The building, a $3 billion investment, measures 1 million square feet, roughly the size of 17 U.S. football fields, with 184,000 square feet of clean room space, which is approximately equal to the size of three U.S. football fields.

  • Oh, I love how these chips, the most advance chips, are made on US soil.

  • imagine workin here high on weed...AWESOME..

  • One person is from china

  • DId you steal the video? Because I found this to be a duplicate.

  • @avenger836 Actually Intel is a year ahead of GF. Intel has been making 32nm chips since 2010 and GF is just starting that now. Also GF will likely go out of business within the next 5 years because they can't compete with TSMC on yield/cost. Intel has the advantage of making a high profit margin product that they own. GF is in a low margin business and will be lucky to break even.

  • AMD GlobalFoundries Fab 8 in new york will put these guys to shame when they come online. The cleanroom is 300,000 sq. ft. and will take the title of the worlds largest and most advanced semiconductor fab plant. When production begins they will be producing 14nm chips, far more advanced than anything we have ever seen. I am only part of the cleanroom cleaning staff within the facility but am still very excited to be part of a project this immense

  • WOOT I just got a job there!!!
