  • Do deluxe sleepers still exist because I've never heard of them before these comments.

  • @rbjplay13 Yes, Amtrak still has Deluxe Sleepers. They are only used on the Auto train.

  • Nice! Whats the difference between sleepers, transition sleepers and deluxe sleepers?

  • Transition Sleepers are used by the crew. Sleeepers are regular Sleepers have a mixture of accessible, family and standard rooms, while Deluxe Sleepers are deidcated for all-deluxe bedrooms.

  • Google it.

    In short:

Transition Sleepers used to be known as "Transition Dorms" and they are usually exclusively used as crew rest areas and TS have a standard-level door on one end to allow "transitioning" between a single-level coach/car and the Superliner Bi-Levels.

Deluxe Sleepers are just like regular Sleepers except all of the rooms are deluxe rooms.

  • thanks

  • Ah okay.

  • Ok! I know I see an auto train daily heading that direction and return along 17 out of Jacksonville.

  • No, the bridge you se ethere is Route 46.

  • Does this line parallel US-17?
