Great voice :D

Why is the beginning sung so quickly?!
-
The tempos in the songs I compose are not "suggestions". They are written specifically for a particular character in a unique moment and emotion in the show. If you're doing them out of context, that's one thing, but songs within musical scores do not have the latitude I think you're suggesting.

I really like the set/constumes/rendition!

I think the tempo and singing is fine(Would be too slow for me :-)) but DEF agree that this is LUCY's song and Melissa's blocking has her hidden WAY too much! She should have been allowed to exploit much more of her performance area. It would have made the whole song pop that much more!

Her voice is absolutely fantastic! However, whoever staged this made a huge mistake. Given more space instead of being completely surrounded, I think really could've OWNED this song.

Wheres the chairs ? bring on the men always has lucy and three to four girls dancing on chairs but her voice is better than most versions thats for sure

Why is she so far upstage? It is HER song!!!
just because you have been in a production doesn't mean you know what the tempo should be...tempo is really a choice of both the performer and director/vocal coach for the show. true all music has a set tempo but that really is merely a suggestion and you have the creative license to do with the tempo what you please. some people like it some don't. doesn't make it right or wrong

I was in The Music Man with Melissa in high school. She was Marianne and I was Winthrop. Always knew she'd end up doin it professionally.
