I have good memories of those books.
The TV show is pretty funny, has some questionable stuff, so beware, but the books are the still the thing to read first.

I'm on Long Island.I found this show on Netflix. Thank God there are about 70 episodes of this so I can watch it for a long time. I love this show. It is like the old American Lassie in that it is from a bygone era with no cursing and no shagging. Good old fashion values. Great acting too. I love James, Tristan, Sigfried. I love how they put on a three piece suite every morning and then stick there entire arms up a cows ass or vagina. It is funny to seeing them chug down pints and then driving.

I enjoyed the whole series... I think I liked the second Helen better than the first though. There was always something a bit irritating about the Helen from Series 1 through 3. I adore Robert Hardy.
