@drumjitsu depends on how much water your boiling, pot covered or not, ambient temp. of the surroundings etc. but id say typically....16 oz. of water about 2oz. of fuel. alcohol burns hot and clean.

I just made one out of two energy drink cans and a coat hanger. First one and it works pretty good. Sterno can is a good idea.

hmm noodles! i made some rice today on my alcohol mess kit! beef broth boiled and then cooked rice in the broth!! autmaticly made a sauce dont know why but the broth turned into a sauce

You are missing the point. He is not teaching you how to cook ramen noodles. He is teaching you how to cook on a home made stove that boils water with less than an ounce of alcohol.

Well i think you got it backwoods.Put noddles in cup some water let set till soft then heat it up no need to boil drain water off then add spice stir.
