On the 31st August 2008 we had a heavy downpour that lasted about 15 minutes, this film shows the result of the poor drainage to Corbett Road and neighbouring roads. The Houses to the rear left all suffered with internal flooding of rain water and sewerage. A Meeting was called with Anglian Water and North Norfolk District Council. Neither of them accepted responsibility for the drains. A number of residence put forward suggestions on how to cure the problem, one suggested a grey water storage system. According to Anglian Water it was to much work and too expensive (the system would have paid for itself over a reasonable time). Since then Nothing has been done to prevent this from happening again, but the council tax and Water bills keep coming in!
