Everyone talks about the "Bush Push" and rightfully so as that was the winning play but dont forget, had D Jarrett not caught that ball at 4th and 9, USC would have lost. USC football is FABULOUS. Beating ND is ALWAYS GREAT!!!

@Deuce2you oh believe me, you won't find many nd fans who don't remember 4th and 9. The bush push was understandable, but 4th and 9 was a damn travesty.

By the way, the biggest WTF was not having Reggie Bush in the game on that 4th down play to at least keep the defense guessing.

I still can't watch that game. I CANnot. lol
Even after the failure to convert the 4th down, USC still had two chances to win the game. Brandon Ting had a SURE interception and dropped it. And Darnell Bing getting the obvious blatant face mask on 4th down...That was more of a WTF to me than Bush's lateral. I mean had the play been successful he'd a been a "genius." But it was so early in the game it wasn't as much of a factor as the two other WTF moments I just mentioned

@Nickthemonkey08 without a doubt. 4th and 9 was the play that everyone knew after that usc would win. im a ND fan, after that play, it was inevitable.

I cried more when vince converted the 4th and 5 running to his right. he always runs to his right and yet usc never figured it out. horrible. the defense lost it for us that year. notre dame scoring 31 points in this game. almost two loses. horrible.

a couple of "what-if's" in that NC game. at the beginning of the game when Bush had a big run and for some reason decided to try to lateral to another USC player and turned the ball over...he NEVER did anything like that the whole season! that was the first WTF moment.

the teams seemed pretty even throughout the game. it was as if the last possession was going to win the game. even though SC lost I enjoyed the back and forth action. You cannot win them all.

yeah it was a pretty damn good game, but I can't but help to think what if White had converted that 4th down play....they surely would have run out the clock, you know? but oh well..it is what it is...
