"Danny's Song" written by Kenny Loggins, first appeared on Sittin' In, the debut album by singer-songwriters, Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina, released in 1971 on the Columbia Records. It was later released on CD on the Sony label. The song was a big hit for Anne Murray in1972. The personnel on the original recording were: Kenny Loggins - vocals, guitar, harmonica, Jim Messina - vocals, bass guitar, Lester "Al" Garth - violin, recorder, saxophone, steel drum, background vocals, Michael Omartian - concertina, keyboards, steel drum, Jon Clarke - horn, oboe, saxophone, steel drum, Larry Sims - bass instrument, background vocals, Merel Bregante - drums, background vocals, and Milt Holland -- percussion.

What has happened to the music today? No talent, no meaning, no heart felt feelings to attach them to a memory of somebody, some place, or some magic moment. I am glad I had the 70's to hear these Gold Songs and make some great memories.
