The arrest of Lee Harvey Oswald. The hallways were swarming with reporters and cameramen as Oswald was being led from room to room at Dallas Police Headquarters.

Ntm all of the eyewitness inconsistencies are nothing to point to, it's been proven time and again different people see things differently, especially when in stressful situations. It's all about what questions are asked, when, by whom and it what context. The police didn't know any of this in 1963, I mean police today still make some mistakes regarding eyewitnesses. Eyewitness testimony is hardly proof of anything, it's barely proof of what those people saw.
@saintlyoswald seems to me you make the case for the lone nut but also rail against it. Oswald hid the rifle but not the shells because he was rushed. He waited down the rifle but not the palm print from the barrel because that was made when he assembled it, before he ever knew Kennedy was even coming to Dallas. The strange actions of the FBI are simple to explain, no agent wanted to be connected to the President's assassin in any way in Hoovers FBI, they were looking out for their careers. Hoo
I read that John Peel (From Pirated Radio?) was in this video or the one where he is being shot. can Anyone see him? He was a well known DJ originating in Dallas (I believe) and of course the John Peel Session in the UK.
Maybe he actually liked the idea of the cops figuring out he did it, if he expected to escape anyway. Then he could run off to Cuba and be Che Hidell.
Once you accept that Oswald hid his own gun on the 6th floor, there's no need to blame anybody else for the hulls. The argument that somebody else shot with his gun is weak. A stranger to the TSBD would probably be noticed and another insider such as Frazier could have been better used to hide the gun, maybe after dropping it down the elevator shaft to the basement. That would have required the risk of running down the stairs to the 4th floor carrying the rifle.
The gun could not have been planted to frame Oswald because when he was in custody Oswald knew they had his gun. He didn't say that they had taken it from the Paine's garage to frame him, instead he said the picture of him with his rifle was a fake. He had to lie about the picture because he knew where they found his rifle, right where he put it, on the 6th floor. How stupid to walk around with an ID card for the same fake name he used to buy the gun!
That Oswald was cool in situations most of us would find stressful is well-attested to by the police. That he could be a meticulous planner is well-demonstrated by the mechanics of his defection to the Soviet Union. While everybody, including Oswald, can just do something dumb at any given moment, it seems to me a legitimate issue that he apparently left the shells exposed but hid the gun. And the fact that one of the shells was in an unusable condition is suggestive of them having been planted.
@arther1045 I think my concerns are legitimate, if not conclusive, and that you are, for some reason, emotionally attached to the lone nut theory. There's a ton of evidence that Oswald did the deed, but not as much that he did it alone, naturally, since that would be proving a negative.
@SaintlyOswald who gives a shit why Oswald would leave the sheels and hide the rifle. Probably because the rifle was right in his hands and the sheels were not. all I see from your post is you are just one more conspiracy nut looking for any goody reason not to believe Oswald killed JFK.
Somebody else could have planted the shells. You have no freaking evidence for that, but you would rather bring that up then say Oswald did it alone which there is a ton of evidence to back.
Why would Oswald hide the gun on the 6th floor but leave the spent shells by the window? If the cops find the shells, they will surely find the gun. It seems to me that he either expected the gun to be removed before the cops found the shells or that somebody else put the gun there. Or, somebody else could have planted the shells. One of the shells had a dent which the FBI could only reproduce by loading an empty shell into the gun, implying that it had not been used to kill JFK.
