Chang'e 2 spacecraft was launched on 1 October 2010 at 10:59:57 UTC,[4] aboard a Long March 3C rocket from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Xichang, China.[5] The spacecraft entered into an orbit with a perigee of 200 kilometers and apogee of 380,000 kilometers and seperated from the carrier rocket as planned. It was the first time that a Chinese lunar probe directly entered the earth-moon transfer orbit without orbiting the earth first.[6] After the launch, Chang'e 2 is expected to arrive at its lunar orbit in about 112 hours, much faster than the 12 days taken by Chang'e 1.[7] Later, the probe will lower its orbit to 100 km and having a lower point of only 15 km.

  • Its embarrasing that it takes the most powerfull country on the planet plus 12 more developed nations to have one single space station up in the skies and here comes China and says "move over bunch of wimps, we are up or business"!

  • @KKM121 You are right, this suggests that the Nobel Peace Prize is just a political tool to accomplish someone's purpose! So i believe that the Nobel Peace Prize is just a jok!

  • @tangmingli I guess the Nobel prize committee just gave Obama the peace prize for not being Bush. And as a celebration for the end of the Bush years.

Obama didn't do as well as people hoped, but he contributed a lot to the American space program and really turned it in the right direction.

  • @tonyLau0575 Chinese dragons don't have wings. =P

But I get your point. I won't be surprised if China can be better than Japan and Korea in a few decades in technology and the economy. But their government system, ethics, and human rights needs to improve as well. These are the more important elements of a great nation.

So hopefully when the dragon is fully awake, it's will be a dragon with a honorable personality.

  • Don"t worry. China is a long sleep dragon. It will show U its wings one day.

It is a long distance to go. But I am confident China, in future, would not be

second but the first and better than Korea or Japan. Put More Oil and Gas

    U see.

  • It's a big joke that Obama won the Nobel prize!LOL...

  • China is reaching a new height and keep going...
