this is a nice video about Russian MBT's, showing the T-80, the T-90 and the NEW Superior black Eagle ...
The BE is the newest main battle tank (MBT) in service with the Russian army, a further development of the T-80.
The BE is fitted with conventional armour plating and nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) protection equipment.

The glacis and the turret of BE are covered by the third generation Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armour (ERA). The tank's low rounded turret is centered on the hull and is covered by ERA bricks. This ERA gives the turret an angled appearance, with the ERA bricks forming a clam shell appearance. ERA bricks on the turret roof provide protection from top-attack weapons.

The BE is equipped with the Shtora-1 (Russian: Штора-1 or "curtain" in English) countermeasures suite, produced by Electronintorg of Russia. This system includes infrared jammer, laser warning system with four laser warning receivers, grenade discharging system which produces an aerosol screen and a computerised control system. The laser warning system warns the tank's crew when the tank has been 'painted' by a weapon-guidance laser. The BE's electro-optical jammer, the Shtora-1 EOCMDAS, jams the enemy's semiautomatic command to line of sight (SACLOS) antitank guided missiles, laser rangefinders, and target designators. the BE is also equipped with ARENA
these tanks are well known for their maneuverability, speed and huge firepower...
The Black Eagle could easily over power the newest of the western MBT's such as: Challenger, Abrams and Leclerc and Leopard 2.
The tank has the following important innovations compared to Soviet-school tanks: * Stretched hull with 7 road-wheels per side, allowing to increase the thickness of the glacis armor array and move the driver's hatch farther to the rear thereby eliminating the weakened area around driver's optics present on Soviet tanks. * The bustle-mounted high-capacity ammo magazine/autoloader that allows high rate of fire, fast automated ammo replenishment, eliminates main survivability issue with Soviet tanks, and reduces the height of the tank by 400mm compared to T-80U (allowing increased front armor density). * Placement of the armament in a separate compartment with provisions for the installation of a wide range of different mainguns (up to 152mm) without the need for heavy redesign. * Placement of each crewmember in a separate compartment, thereby limiting the crew casualties in case of penetration. * Very sloped frontal armor with high degree of protection uniformity over a variety of angles. * Thick turret roof with multilayered armor to counter top-attack threats.

  • @6308281 you are aware that iraqi t-72 had ammunition that was taken out of service in russia 30+years ago, they had no ERA on them, the crew wasnt compitent and no night vision, plus most of their tank casualties were not from tanks but from nato airforce, plus we didnt give them guided munition for tanks that we use that have a range of 5+ km, this it t-90ms watch?v=eZbHxyJKwps , plus a t-72 can penetrate abrams

  • @6308281

Another case of flawed logic, 1 ton of gold or 1 ton of rock, think about that and then respond with something more logical. Quantity means essentially nothing unless it's something that can be implemented with effect, obviously not the case with the Iraqis, atleast not to the desired extent.

  • Name of the song? Kinda sounds like Crowbar.

  • @vtkrey 100% dead on

  • @6308281 it was missused in Chechnya, the tanks that were sent in didnt have a proper infantry support, if you look at the city its full of 10 storie buildings and its very urban, few RPG 7 hits on the top of the turet will penetrate or disable the tank, they also had rpg-29s and with that it makes no difference because it will penetrate any tank in the world, israel missused its tanks and lost 48 merkavas in gaza

  • @Madmax1945XXX Hmm that explains Iraqi military failure - Now What about the failures in Checyna ?

  • @vtkrey Forth largest military in the world at the time- Hmm i think we've been down this road before

  • @6308281

Proved ... how? a superpower along with an entire coalition brings down a small country protected by a disorganised, incompetent and poorly equipped military, that doesn't prove much to me.

  • @vtkrey so you tell me why should i be delusional - Haven't the US proved to the world who owns the skies and who is the best military in the world - Just stating facts -

  • @6308281

You don't, but I do and so spewing more delusions won't do you any good.
