I agree. Thumbs down me all you want people, but I love the music from this game, and I believe a song like this has so much underlying passion that it's really not fair to the song to not have its true power exploited musically.
I saw that it was the first that this group had done, so there's certainly some leeway there. I'd love to see a remake!

This was the first track we ever recorded way back in 2006; Back then we honestly didn't know any better! Check out some of our newer stuff like Decisive Battle, Clash on the Big Bridge & Lava Reef for examples of more different ones.
Sometimes straight covers are good though! I think, anyway. We want to capture the essence of what the song is about.
Even here we added the piano (played from Piano Collections sheet music) and some basic harmonies. One day we're gonna redo this mind..

This would be really cool if the guitar were tuned better (or played better on the slight chance this is fretless but really...). i like the version better except the for the imprecision

I like this version more so than the original

I understand the reference, but there are dozens of names related to that game I can pull off the top of my head (ex. Blue Planet, Giant of Babil, The Dragoons, Four Lords of the Elements) all off which have no direct link to menstrual cunnilingus...

@syntheticsamurai Or they just realized that Final Fantasy IV was fucking awesome. There's always that.

That cover band really should have ran their prospective name through a search engine before naming themselves "The Red Wings"

THIS my friend is what I call epic.
-
Wow! Learn to play guitar, for god's sake XD

This is the only piece I've ever heard played entirely in a minor key that doesn't sound sad at all. Rather, it invokes an extremely awesome feeling of epicness. Uematsu is a genius, and this is a great cover.

some of the parts sound really off...
I really don't mean to nitpick, but does the lead guitar sound a little bit flat in places on this track? :S

Really - yes, a bit. We're gonna redo this track. This was originally recorded in like 2005 - we were much less experienced then. Check the new tracks for the kind of stuff we do these days.
