  • my marching band is doing come sail away!

  • my band director used to play tuba, and she is a tiny asian. she got weird looks

  • @MrThedude456 Yes, the main campus, where this video was taken is in Ann Arbor. Since this time they have put limits on the number of people who can be in each section. This year, there were 38 people competing for 20 places on the field, and staff's go-to critique was to shrug and say 'you play the piccolo'. That said, had the audition process been as stringent then as it is is now, I probably wouldn't have been able to do this

  • @heathrown Oh, ok, and 2 other questions: 1.)Isn't U of M in the Ann Arbor area? 2.)If your on the side for most of them... does that mean that you aren't very good at picalo? >_<

  • @MrThedude456 Michigan has something called reserves...not everyone marches every game, we audition before all of them. It helps when people get injured/sick and is a good motivator for all to work hard. I was a reserve for this one, others were taken after I graduated.

  • @heathrown It's not dizzying, it's just that, you say you play the picalo, so...shouldn't you be out in the field playing?

  • @MrThedude456 In many of the videos I am the one recording (this one for sure) I always just had it in my hands. Sorry if it's dizzying!
