@healthmusic Capitalism without Christian morals sucks? What country do you live in? There's plenty of Christianity in the US and yet it has no impact whatsoever on Capitalism. One has nothing to do with the other. Besides, a lot of aspects of the Bible back up capitalism-he who does not work, let him not eat. Apparently if you are out of work, you should starve. No much for christian morals impacting capitalism.
@LucyParsons87 And when there is no private enterprise then only one option remains, communism. With the State in control of everything there exists a government monopoly. And they would control everything, there would be a complete absence of competition, which would halt and eventually reverse technological advancement. Quality and precise distribution of products would disappear, without the corporations that you claim oppress the worker life would turn to a darker alternative.
@LucyParsons87 And lets not forget, if people are forced to give up their business to their employees and are forced to share everything collectively, then be taxed to hell by the government, what motivation exists to create business? What desire exists to make companies that advance and compete in the market? Why would I sacrifice everything so a bunch of young imbecilic pimple-faced morons get my business then crash it within months of creation? No greed = No private business
@LucyParsons87 What socialists do is take from capitalists what they built, they take the company they formed with their own design and give it to irresponsible unexperienced idiots at the bottom. Those idiots just went into the company for a job, they have no idea how its run, how it functions, or how to profit or distribute. They then run it into the ground. A year after the Russian October revolution worker owned factories were decreased to 17-14% production and in terrible shape.
@LucyParsons87 You obviously don't understand what it takes to get business started, though there exist out there many charitable people it takes a person with a desire for profit, large amount of investment funds, and greed for more profits to survive in a free market. If a business's leadership lacks that then it fails. United workers cant do that, no one goes into business with the sole want to share profit.
@LucyParsons87 Those jobs wouldn't exist if some greedy capitalist started a company that provided jobs and work. Greed drives capitalism, capitalism creates competition, competition drives down prices and advances technologies. Greed may be bad and unfit, but it is also necessary. And corporations ARE people, every single employee is part of a larger body that was united under a greedy person seeking profit. Its corporations or its the State. Liberty or Slavery, which sounds better?
@davedavedaveannoy1 Uh, no, workers made those shirts, pants, underpants, guitars, microphones etc.-- they made so MUCH of those things, the capitalists sold them and made enough money to pay the workers enough to come back tomorrow, their suppliers enough to buy more supplies, machines, whatever AND then to take the profits. Citizens United be damed, corporations aren't actually PEOPLE. They own the world, we make them billions. Ask Wisconsin how much they liketheir friends, the Koch brothers
Capitalism doesn't fit with our healthcare. There may be place for capitalism; but it must be coupled with some amount of socialism and work in a balance. We have the police; they're not free, but you don't pay a fee when you need to call the police. I'm glad we have this little bit of communism. Capitalism without regulation sucks. Capitalism without Christian morals sucks. I did vote down on other 2 comments.
Lets see here, capitalism made that shirt and jacket and pants and underpants were made by corporations (IE capitalism), that microphone stand and the microphone was made by a corporation (also capitalism), that house was built by capitalist contractors, capitalists probably manufactured that guitar since your most likely too stupid to create such a fine instrument, and oh....youtube and the internet which this is broadcasting on was created by capitalist corporations. Capitalism rules!
