Stresa Music Festival

The international festival Settimane Musicali di Stresa, known as Stresa Festival, was founded in 1961. Since 2000 the Artistic Director of the Stresa Festival is Gianandrea Noseda, famous conductor with a great international career.

Thanks to public and private funding the Festival can offer an artistic programme characterised by diversified musical and performing choices, without mentioning an exclusive selection of soloists, chamber and symphonic orchestras coming from all over the world: Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, Nikita Magaloff, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Martha Argerich...Nathan Milstein, Victoria Mullova, Salvatore Accardo, Uto Ughi, Shlomo Mintz, Mstislav Rostropovich, Maurice André ed Andres Segovia...the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra...Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Chailly, Valery Gergiev and obviously the Festival's Artistic Director Gianandrea Noseda.
