  • it limits the tension to about 5 volts......it's an old project.....but it saved me sometimes....now i use another project better than this...

  • You could also use a 7805 voltage regulator, easily sourceable from Radio Shack for $2, to drop the 9v down to a regulated 5v. To charge iPods you will need a couple of 470k resistors, in some case 100k or even 10k will work. Solder the two resistors to pins 2 and 3 on the USB port. Solder the other ends of the resistors (pin 2 to 5v out on usb port) and (pin 3 to ground on usb port).

  • @smithba76 yes, i know the 7805....i don't know because i' ve used this system...in fact there is the small 7805 version in TO-92 package. This type isn't able to be mounted on a radiator, but with the small current we are using it's ok....

  • it cant operate with sum devices coz 9V battery is not enough for powering 12V usb powered thingys..get it?

  • @karanracha i think all USB devices operate at 5 volts....your device probably not operates because it requiores more current (Amperes)

  • 0:00 que crapy music...:D

  • @zimone89 Which project?

  • Do you understand the principal of this design?

the 100 ohm resistor limits current to the device, but what does the diode do here?

  • maravilhosa explicação ,

    gostei mesmo.

    Thanks.

  • Who has all that stuff?!???????

  • man thanks its gr8
