The problem I'm having is that Alex flies just above the target I throw. He practically moves through the guy's body, but doesn't surf.

@Kraldor hey i have a huge problem with this;i lock on as soon as i throw them but they fly so fucking far away i can`t do it...plus i somehow mostly fly by them and not do the body surf -.-....help?<:|

yes you need the body surf ability then upgrade your jump ALSO you need to upgrade your flying kick attack or youll miss your target trust me i did that today its fun once you get used to doing it

You have to target the dude as soon as you release him because he becomes untargetable if you wait. The timing might take a bit to get down, and you can air dash once or twice to try to help catch him. You should start the flying kick right about the time he starts to drop from the trajectory of the throw. Watch the video response if you want to see the better more awesome version of this also.

theres a easier way to do it
lock on the fucker
palm slam the guy while still locked on
then jump dont need the charge and hold square

But you can't do that from a high altitude, because there's no way to carry a person all the way up there and then put them down. See my other video (video response to this one) for why this method is even better.
