this is why I hate forgein companies from developed nations going into undeveloped nations.
They go in there. fuck the country up and then basically say that they are not answerable to that countries laws asif they they dont matter. Basically they can gat away with anything. I recon something else underhand must have happened with the indian government aswell because he should have gon apeshit by now and searched high and low to get these greedy pigs sorted out.

With the number of Indian people everywhere (1+ billion?), why has Anderson not been "brought to justice". How can he hide anywhere? Unless the real Indians don't care. Cost of killing 20000 people(officical figure) is just 450 million dollors? No doubt it was Union carbide's mistake, but also india govt is responsible for it.
Why was Anderson granted a bail...Why did they accepted just 450 m $. ....

Its true. I think it's more important now to see whether Union Carbide and (ALL the other multinational companies who build their industries in the third world countries) follow the same if not revised protocol, evacuation plan and safety measures; as they would if the industries were situated in the first world countries.
We can't forget about the double standards that these companies carry in general which is not always upto an individual per se.

But how could you want to punish someone who have nothing to do whit the disaster? Suppose a murder happened in a given house, and goes cold. If I bought the house, should I be tried for muders :X Absurd, criminal reponsbility is individual and not transferrable.
