I don’t know if a person could listen to the sound of their own voice and drift into a trance anymore than a shepherd could fall asleep by counting his own sheep. I suppose it’s possible. I’m just curious as to how the doctor cures himself.

@kenyou1000 It's possible. That's how I cured my insomnia when I was a teenager: by putting myself into a trance, then counting (in my head) until I fell asleep. Usually, I wouldn't make it to 100 before I fell into a real sleep.
