Apple Ipad is a JOKE

So the Apple Ipad was announced today...I am sure this is a great device for someone that is heavy on reading and using their phone apps, but I would far rather use my laptop, more power, more I can do. For me, this is underwhelming, because I was expecting so much more! Just my opinion...what do you think...?

I have to say i expected better from Apple. Can't replace the battery, can't run Flash, a one (1) GHZ processor, no USB port, only 64 gig hard drive, a multi touch screen on a device that can't multitask. Who thinks a 9.7 inch screen is large? The list of negatives is long and the positives are short. This device may be pretty but it is beneath Apple. Apple is capable of so much better and the ipad is what we got? I am writing this on a Sony Vaio that costs less than an Ipad. Do the math.

I know what you mean...I became a huge fan of Apple about a year and half ago...and since then I have seen apple for their genius in their products...until they announced the Ipad...then I figured they were just another company trying to make a buck...shame on you Apple!

I'm not broken up about a pinhole camera positioned to look up my nose. I prefer the apps available for the iPhone OS (Which as you know is also OSX just not Snow Leopard.)

But I can visualize what you want and that device will replace my laptop when it does appear. Won't happen soon though until SSD prices go down and A4 performance scales.

I tend to agree with you...I was looking forward to a much more portable device than my macbook 13" to round out my computing arsenal...as I believe alot of other people were expecting...but just didnt happen.

I believe the device will sell well, but probably not as well as apple would expect, unless there is a price change early on, that would make it a no brainer to buy...

I will laugh when I see on the news the lines of people ready to buy this piece of shit. Its a for sure thing there are those that think this is the greatest thing in the world. I was hoping this might be the first Apple product I would think about owning with all the talk that surrounded it. What a joke. Boat anchor but its even too light for that. I feel sorry for the Apple customers that were actually expecting something useful.

It is a big iPod Touch but really thats the point, you are able to do more with the bigger screen space. Also I love the way you're not just shit talking it like some people do and I respect that, it makes it alot easier to respect a point of view when someone is screaming "APPLE SUCK".

I think the iPad is one of those products that has a fairly small and limited target audience and not everyone is going to want one. But hey thats my opinion :P

i think the ipad is pretty nice but it took a while for that to sink in. i think the only reason apple kept there software like there iphone and ipod touches is because when a old iphone user comes onto the ipad they know exactly what to do and not to do. so they dont need to learn a whole new kind of software. the ipad is a very minor step but if i know apple they are going to slowly upgraded one by one for the next 5 to 6 years
