Six turnovers spoiled the Brainerd Warriors' homecoming game on a crisp, windy Saturday afternoon.
Riding a 4-game win streak, the Warriors fumbled the ball away three times and were intercepted three times as the St. Michael-Albertville Knights pounced on the mistakes to post a 31-20 victory at Adamson Field.
The Knights converted five of the six miscues into all 31 points. They led 14-7 at the half. Following a scoreless third quarter, they reeled off 17 straight points to seize a 31-7 edge with 6:50 remaining.
