  • Hello, Do you know how to tell if your Rabbit is pregnant, my rabbit is 8 months ??

  • ohh :( this made me feel like crying :'( hopefully spice will recover soon and get his life back -3

  • what is the cause of that sickness?

  • @TeenyTeh It actually came back this week. My wife was crying and so upset. We love our rabbits very much. The vet gave us the medicine to give her, We put a warm cloth on the abscess twice a day which helps it loosen. We hope she will be ok.

    Thanks again

  • @mrclitlips Hi mrclitlips, the thing about abscesses is that there is a very high chance of it coming back again and again. We just have to administer medication, squeeze out the pus and cleanse with iodine as the vet prescribed. And of course to stand by your bunny through this ordeal and give him strength to fight the infection. Good luck!

  • My Rabbit has an abscess. We noticed it yesterday and took her to the doctor. She had surgery and she is now home. I can see it is getting bigger again. I dont know what to do.

  • @genieshanu Hi genieshanu, Dr Ling gave me an injectable antibiotic - I believe it's the same thing - which you inject through that loose skin behind the rabbit's head right? I show how I did it in "How To Cope When Your Rabbit Has An Abscess (Part 3)" - rather how my husband did it cos I'm terrified of needles. =( All the best in fighting your rabbit's abscess. I know how emotionally draining it is, so hang in there and know you're doing the right thing in trying to save your bunny!

  • I am in singapore, my rabbit just had surgery yesterday. I believe its the same vet as u. She just woke up from the operation.... Have u tried injectible pencillin?

  • I haven't cried over sadness in years. But this really got to me. I have a bunny named Hollie she's a mini lop. I'm going to take the best care of her because this video is very inspiring.

  • @rennono Thanks rennono, it was such an emotional journey - finding the abscess, sending Spice for the op, dealing with "Will he make it?". I'm happy to say Spice is doing well - his appetite is gd and he's back to his mischevious ways. The daily flushing with iodine and squeezing out the pus was rather unconfortable for Spice but after about 2 - 3 weeks of doing it, he's quite good about it and most of the time sits obediently for us to do our thing. He's such a brave bunny! =)
