  • I saw TDK and i thought, wow the joker was really good, i wonder how it compares to Jack's? No joke, the next day it was on TBS or something and I got to see Jack play the joker.

when i watched Batman, i saw jack nicholson playing the joker.

when i watched TDK, i saw the joker.

Theres no initial hype. theres just the fact that heath ledger is a better actor than jack nicholson. not just for the joker, but in general.

  • @ancestron May seem late for a reply, but I don't agree with this. Without doubt the best stories are 'Year: One,' 'The Dark Knight Returns,' 'The Long Halloween,' 'Killing Joke' 'Serious House on Serious Earth' - where Batman plays a major part.

  • Yes, thank you. ^_^

  • So you know... It's spelled hilarious.

  • This movie really shows how Batman is one of those comics were the characters keep on changing and evolving. I thought, in a morbid sense, that Two-Faces origin was awesome! I liked the idea that Joker was the one who set him off, almost...gave bith to him. Not only by the accident, but by making "Gotham's white Knight" into a creature like himself. Proving again that it only takes one bad day for the tables to turn....Um yeah, sorry about the rant. Going to watch more of your stuff! W00T!

  • Now my opinion on TDN...WOW! It was so much better than Batman Begins. I remember being nervous about how they were going to make Joker in the film, and I worried for nothing! Heath Ledger hit it out of the park. I had goosebumps when I saw that scar the first time.(Though that might be because I actually imagined how awful that must have felt, rather than him creeping me out.) I liked how they changed the look, going from the traditional chemical bath to...this!

  • I thought The Long Halloween was good, the style was pleasing in a macabre sense. Okay, I REALLY loved the portion with the Mad Hatter and the Scarecrow. They have a type of lunacy that works well for their partnership. I never even thought of using that Through The Looking Glass quote for them, before I read this tale. (I wish they had this duo more in Batman:The Animated Serious, it's just so fun to see them play off of each other!)Joker's antics were fun as well! Wanted more of Penguin though

  • I also really enjoy The Killing Joke, which shows us a more...human side? Hmm. Okay, it shows us a back story at the very least. One of my favorite comments that Joker makes is about how he can't even remember his origin, how it's sometimes this way and sometimes that way. Also I liked the metaphorical ties with the title, and how both Batman and Joker get to laugh together at the end. And I agree with it, sometimes it does only take one bad day to change us.One bad day can send us over the edge

  • Before I go into my Batman comments, let me say that you guys are hularious(sp?)! Not only that, but I actually cared about what your opinions were on both the comics and TDK review. I too and a fan of the Arkham stories, and I was somewhat surprised you didn't mention Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On Serious Earth. That story shows the insanity that can consume anyone, it shows us the back story of Dr. Arkham, and...It has Joker making some suggestive comments about Batman and Robin.
