Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) 2011 Annual Meeting Recap Video

Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) hosted it's 71st Annuual meeting of members in Atlanta, GA on Monday, November 14, 2011. Gov. Nathan Deal gave the keynote address, and was joined by Lance Brown, Executive Director of the Partnership for Affordable Clean Energy (PACE) as a guest speaker. Georgia EMC presented life saving awards to EMC employees and directors for individual acts of heroism during the past year, and also presented numerous excellence in safety awards and the inaugural Georgia EMC Community Service and Volunteerism Awards. Georgia EMC is the state trade association for Georgia's 42 electric cooperatives, Oglethorpe Power Corporation, Georgia Transmission Corporation and Georgia System Operations Corporation. Georgia's EMCs provide electric service to more than 4.5 million Georgians across 73% of the state's land area.
