Rain delay from 6/23/09 at CitiField in Queens. Proof positive that the Mets have *the worst* grounds crew in the majors (possibly some minor league organizations too). Here's how to turn a 30-minute rain delay into a 90-minute rain delay.
Okay, so shortly after they got the tarp on the right way...the rain stopped. But the infield dirt was exposed to the rain for so long, it was a mess. Enter the grounds crew dry-out team. What are they doing? Who is giving them directions? Why are they shoveling around and spreading the wet dirt/mud? Just look at home plate... Seriously, WTF is going on here?
